Josh Roseman
(not the trombonist; the other one)

Welcome to the official website for Josh Roseman, fiction writer and voice artist. You may have seen my writing in Asimov's, or heard my voice on Escape Pod and StarShipSofa. I'm also a web developer, a father, and a human being. I have a full bio here, and a full listing of my published works here. Please feel free to add me to your RSS reader, or to whatever social network you prefer. You can e-mail me if you want me to write or voice something for you. Thanks for visiting.

PS: I'm now a member of the SFWA. So I've got that going for me, which is nice.

Try as I might, I fail Master. Keep the house clean and keep red meat in the fridge, he said. These are menial tasks, yet I fail.
That line is from “Meat” by David Steffen, which I am performing in Pseudopod 330: Flash On The Borderlands XV: At Your Service!

I’m performing (most of) Pseudopod #285 — “Kill Screen” by Chris Lewis Carter. Click here to listen.

My first performance for Escape Artists, “Man Eat Man”, is now available at Pseudopod. It’s a horror story, and is not for young ears.

Over the years, I have produced several podcasts.

  • Dunesteef: “The Strange Affair of the Artisan’s Heart”, 11/16/09
    — This one was by far the most involved episode I ever put together, and I had a ton of fun doing it. I spent a lot of time working on music selection and even longer on sound effects — listen carefully for the flushing toilets in the climactic scene.
  • Dunesteef: “Cold Trail Blazing”, 6/24/09 — I’m particularly proud of the music I chose to set the mood here. I was just starting to experiment with ambient sound as well.
  • Pseudopod: “The Man Who Sank”, 5/1/09
  • Dunesteef: “The Artist”, 4/20/09

In addition to those, I was also the primary producer of Podcrapular through a good chunk of 2008, and I guest-hosted a half-dozen episodes while one of the two main hosts was unavailable.
